Regge Nerrator’s “Rum and Run” was written with the present Global Apocalyptic triggers in mind; often referred to as “Armageddon” because of the Political players, socio-economic factors and global scale involved . My work in this song was first to recall history into the minds of the listeners – the last World War; hint at the its root, causes and the notions of what lessons need be learnt to further healthy human relations. The song goes further to tape out two possibilities. One that refuses to materialize Armageddon and the other that foolishly materializes it; with a strange recommendation in the chorus for RUM. What has Rum got to do with this? The song began with John Piper, a popular World War 2 Painter, to set the tragic graveyard stage of present consciousness. And nested within the chaos, is the message in a bottle – a Bottle of Rum – from the Ghanja Messiah (Regge Nerrator’s Higher Self). The Song Cover’s Cryptic – Art alone tells the tale of the whole song. Rum is often regarded as a “spirit” lauded by soldiers on the battlefield as the best companion for pain & power. The Song in the end alludes to much of the “spirit” component of our being required to prevent war & seek peace OR the one required to sustain & rebuild civilization after much damage has been done. There’s a Race before Us all that requires a lotta Rum either way we choose. Our Cosmos is Ours to Sail! And to divide and conquer is not and cannot be the mantra for our Milky Way Experience! At the Epicenter, we must remember – we are all that we have left after all has been said and done. For Pain and For Power! RUM and RUN!
